Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer within Deloitte's SFL Scientific practice, you will design and deploy AI infrastructure, data architectures, and ML and GenAI solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, collaborating across teams from our Raleigh, North Carolina onsite location.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to design, build, and deploy architectures that support machine learning and automation initiatives.
• Apply advanced skills in modern data architecture, data engineering, data transformation, and management of structured and unstructured data across cloud or on‑prem platforms.
• Design and lead the development of scalable, high‑performance data architecture solutions that support business objectives and AI/GenAI use cases.
• Support and enhance data architectures and pipelines; define database schemas (Graph, SQL, NoSQL) to enable scalable algorithms and deployment aligned with agile priorities.
• Participate in architectural and deployment discussions to ensure designs scale, remain secure, and achieve high availability in cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Adopt best engineering practices in automation, high performance computing, and AI/GenAI infrastructure design patterns.
• Define and lead technology proofs of concepts to establish feasibility of new data and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and execution in advancing modern data architecture principles and technology modernization.
• Mentor and coach junior team members on technical best practices and professional development.
