Senior AI Engineer

Senior AI Engineer role for an onsite position in San Francisco, focused on building AI capabilities for an investment and tax compliance platform within Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven compliance solutions using Python and Azure services
• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines to process client information
• Create workflows to classify, extract, standardize, and enrich client data using Azure AI services
• Implement and maintain Azure Functions for event-driven, serverless processing
• Integrate AI services and compliance workflows with downstream systems
• Map client data to standardized internal schemas and data models
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and workflow orchestration components for end-to-end processing
• Ensure high-quality delivery through testing, debugging, optimization, and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across architects, AI engineers, and business stakeholders
• Support integration of processed outputs into tax data warehouses and compliance platforms

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience
• Strong experience building scalable backend applications, APIs, and services with Python
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Services / Cognitive Services
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions
• Experience designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions
• Understanding of data processing, transformation, and integration patterns
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs and cloud services
• Ability to independently design, develop, test, and deliver production-ready solutions
