Job Description

Keeper Security is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead analytics data modeling and BI pipeline design. The role emphasizes scalable analytics architectures and dimensional modeling to drive reporting and KPI-driven insights. This is a remote position with optional hybrid arrangements for candidates in El Dorado Hills, California, or the Chicago metropolitan area. Keeper serves millions of users and thousands of organizations worldwide, with solutions published in 23 languages and available in more than 150 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage ELT pipelines and data replication feeding the analytics platform.
  • Architect and implement star and snowflake dimensional models.
  • Develop data transformations to turn operational data into analytics-ready datasets.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation, and testing to ensure KPI accuracy.
  • Document data models, business logic, and data lineage; maintain up-to-date references.
  • Define data governance standards for analytics, including naming conventions, access controls, and metric definitions.
  • Collaborate with BI tool users across Tableau, Looker, and Power BI to design efficient, performant data structures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and analysts on data modeling, SQL optimization, and analytics best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on analytics and business intelligence.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and dimensional data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift, including performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong experience using dbt for analytics engineering, including transformations, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience building ELT workflows using AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, or Step Functions.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data processing or pipeline orchestration.
  • Understanding of data security and privacy principles, including experience with regulated data (PII, PHI).
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and Agile development practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Due to FedRAMP requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Person.
