Senior Data Analyst

Disney's Data Platforms team seeks a Senior Data Analyst to transform data from computer vision systems into operational improvements. This on-site role in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, leads the analysis of data pipelines and communicates actionable insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational insights by analyzing data from computer vision platforms to identify behavioral patterns and emerging trends across a global portfolio
• Assess system accuracy by investigating false positives and false negatives and provide clear feedback to technical teams to fine tune models
• Manage end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data flows correctly from edge devices through processing layers to analytics dashboards
• Provide systems support for container-based applications in Linux environments, including Kubernetes, with escalation to software engineers for deeper infrastructure changes to maintain scalability and stability across sites
• Translate complex data into simple, actionable intelligence for leadership decision making
• Develop predictive indicators to move from reactive responses toward forecasting and prevention
• Create and maintain dashboards and leadership briefings that reflect system performance and focal areas
• Collaborate with ground operations, data scientists, and engineers to ensure data aligns with the physical environment
• Support global growth by applying project management practices to scale data analysis as the program expands to additional sites
• Lead root cause analyses when trends or issues are detected and propose practical fixes
• Implement closed-loop improvements by evaluating changes and validating outcomes with evidence-based methods
• Maintain data integrity while handling sensitive operational and Guest information with discretion and accuracy

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, project analysis, or a technical analytics role
• Proven experience working with data generated by computer vision or machine learning models
• Comfort working in a Linux environment with containers (Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, in partnership with platform or engineering teams
• Strong ability to identify stories or trends within large datasets
• Proficiency with visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, or R
• Excel expertise including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas, paired with strong SQL skills for large data sets
• Ability to independently analyze data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
• Experience delivering clear, visually compelling presentations and tailoring messaging for global audiences and diverse stakeholders
• Proven capacity to present complex findings to technical teams, operations leaders, and executives in a non-technical, accessible manner
• Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with a range of audiences
• Strong time management and prioritization across time zones and competing demands
• High attention to detail for data that informs critical operational decisions
• Willingness to travel occasionally to domestic and international partner locations, including APAC and EMEA
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

Compensation

Salary range for this position is site dependent. For Lake Buena Vista, FL the range is USD 91,000 to 121,900 per year, while for Anaheim, CA it is USD 95,500 to 128,000 per year. The base pay offered reflects internal equity and may vary by geographic region, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, a bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included as part of the compensation package, alongside the full range of medical and financial benefits.
