Job Description
Work at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Senior Data Analyst in a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA. This position supports advanced analytics that help inform process and outcome improvements across clinical and business teams, while providing opportunities to mentor teammates and act as a technical subject matter expert. The role is scheduled for Day shift and allows remote work for up to 80% of the time.
Compensation: $104,125 to $153,170 per year. Final offers may be adjusted based on skills and experience.
What you’ll do
- Mentor team members as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical resource.
- Evaluate process improvement options produced by Data Analysts II and incorporate them into recommendations for clinical and business stakeholders, considering context, processes, barriers, and business-driven factors related to process and outcome improvement, resource utilization, and clinical practice patterns.
- Identify, define, and implement new data-driven strategies and processes for the organization.
- Independently oversee the remediation of project obstacles to keep work moving forward.
- Drive technical process improvements for the Enterprise Data and Analytics team, including better data infrastructure for reporting, streamlining code review processes, and implementing technical standards.
- Develop metrics, retrieve data, and ensure the validity of results.
- Propose data solutions such as dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools to measure processes and outcomes.
- Coordinate assigned projects by defining project scope, assigning tasks and responsibilities, setting deadlines, and managing other key project components.
- Train new team members and support onboarding through shared knowledge and practical guidance.
- Advise clinical teams on new data models, testing frameworks, and documentation practices.
- Communicate project plans, progress, and findings to stakeholders.
- Independently gather requirements and set deadlines, and guide clinical teams and business stakeholders on large-scope projects.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Analysis, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience, or alternatively a Master’s degree in the same area with 3 years of experience.
- Experience working with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, Qlik Sense, REDCap, Microsoft Power BI, Python, R, and SQL.
