Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and scale ETL pipelines and data enrichment capabilities within UHG Trend Analytics. This role focuses on delivering dependable data applications that meet business requirements, with remote work options across the United States and in-office requirements in Minneapolis, MN or Washington, DC.
Location: Eden Prairie, MN (remote)
Salary: USD 91,700 - 163,700 per year
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
- Offer support and leadership in critical production support issue resolution
- Lead root-cause analysis on in-scope incidents with recommended corrective action plans
- Collaborate with the team to resolve production issues within SLA targets
- Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Prioritize production issue resolution with business stakeholders

Requirements
- 6+ years of data engineering work experience
- 6+ years of ETL development experience
- 6+ years of SDLC experience
- 6+ years of experience writing advanced complex queries, code optimization with SQL
