Versant Media is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data pipelines and warehousing capabilities for analytics use cases.

Design and implement data warehouse and data mart architectures to support presentation layers for elastic cubes, reporting, and analytics
Perform hands-on ETL/ELT development and share responsibility for monitoring data warehouse and data mart workloads
Develop and support data pipelines using Airflow and AWS Glue, with additional pipeline work in Azure Data Factory, Python, and Golang
Build and maintain schemas and structures that support analytical requirements
Deliver hands-on database work including T-SQL or PL/SQL development, query tuning, table development, stored procedures, and functions
Create and manage indexes to improve performance for operational workloads
Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues
Coordinate with business users and project managers to identify business problems and implement solutions
Apply technical knowledge to propose improvements for existing systems and new requirements
Work with other IT departments on systems communication processes
Participate in meetings with multiple IT groups, including other business unit IT teams and technical operations (Server Group and infrastructure groups), to address issues and concerns
Mentor other Data Engineers
Identify software solutions needed for new projects
Provide weekly reporting to management on project status and issues
Support on-call production requirements
