Job Description

The Senior Data Scientist role at Embedded Alliance leads the design and deployment of end-to-end analytical solutions within agile teams. Based onsite in Springfield, VA, this position translates technical findings into actionable client insights and oversees projects from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Analytics Development: Conceptualize, design, develop, and test advanced analytical models and algorithms using Python, R, SQL, VBA, and Excel tailored to complex client problems.
  • Data Conditioning and Wrangling: Transform messy, unstructured, or disparate datasets into highly structured, analysis-ready assets through advanced data conditioning.
  • Database Management: Apply deep SQL proficiency to query, manipulate, and extract critical insights from large datasets.
  • Data Visualization and Decision Support: Create compelling visualizations, dashboards, and decision products that clearly convey analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • Mission-Critical Communication: Present highly technical and quantitative findings as clear, actionable insights for client decision-makers.
  • Independent Execution: Own projects from concept to deployment, delivering high-quality, hardened code with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance (Non-negotiable).
  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting GEOINT analysis or intelligence operations.
  • Data Analytics & Conditioning: Deep expertise in advanced data conditioning, data mining, and statistical analysis.
  • Technical Stack: Strong proficiency with SQL databases and hands-on coding in Python, R, and/or VBA.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills and mature judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Communication: Outstanding ability to translate technical and quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Workload Management: Excellent organizational skills with a track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines in small, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience: 5 years (Required).
  • Security clearance: Top Secret (Required).
