Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help turn large-scale structured and unstructured data into machine learning and AI models, insights, and decision support used across the organization. This Atlanta-based (onsite) role partners with cross-functional teams and supports the operationalization of ML/AI use-cases through collaboration with ML Ops. You will also present complex analytical work to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive management.
Role overview
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and objectives.
- Translate business needs into data-driven solutions by developing ML and AI algorithms that generate actionable insights for functional areas such as Marketing, Finance, Technical Innovation, and Supply Chain (among others) across the Globe.
- Use a range of large structured and unstructured datasets to derive modeling-ready information sets.
- Visualize and interpret data, and create reports that lead to actionable insights.
- Communicate complex analytics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive management.
- Partner with ML Ops to scale and operationalize ML/AI use-cases.
- Maintain technical documentation in line with agreed standards.
- Build and maintain a reusable library of data science solutions, templates, algorithms, and supporting code.
- Apply CI and CD principles to automate and improve deployment repeatability.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, or another quantitative discipline.
- Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience gathering, interpreting, and translating business requirements.
- Proficiency with analytical and programming languages and packages including Python, R, and SQL.
- Ability to understand data structures and common methods used in data transformation.
- Demonstrated large-scale data wrangling experience using relational databases and/or Spark.
- 4+ years applying statistical methods, modeling, and mathematical optimization techniques including hypothesis testing, dimensionality reduction, Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP), supervised learning (classification and regression), Bayesian modeling, forecasting, and unsupervised clustering, with experience taking solutions into production.
- Strong aptitude for learning and applying new technologies related to data science and data management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and results at multiple levels to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with code version control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

Compensation and incentives
- Salary range: USD 112,000 - 136,000 per year
- Annual incentive reference value: 15%
