Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Job Description
Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead GenAI UX initiatives and the GenAI-powered Venue and Arena platform for AWS customers, onsite in Seattle, WA, with a salary range of USD 193,300 to 261,500 per year and a requirement of at least 5 years of professional software development experience.
Responsibilities
- Backend integration focused on AI: connect systems to manage asynchronous data flows from large language models and other AI services.
- Performance optimization: maximize speed and responsiveness of AI driven interfaces, especially for large datasets and real-time streaming outputs.
- Own end-to-end system design, spanning backend services, APIs, data storage, and frontend integration.
- Develop and evolve GenAI powered services that enable design generation, validation, and automation workflows.
- Contribute to long term technical vision and architecture decisions.
- Balance rapid delivery with scalable, maintainable system design.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate needs into robust technical solutions.
- Contribute to hiring efforts, mentor junior engineers, and elevate engineering standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language
- 5+ years designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scalability
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Experience with emerging generative and agentic technologies
- Experience in machine learning and data science

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
- Experience with agentic orchestration
- Prior experience with AWS applications is a plus
- Experience with Bedrock, Kiro, or Claude is a plus
