Job Description
Intuit is looking for a Senior Staff Business Data Analyst to help shape the reporting, analytical, and AI-ready layer built on sales data. This role is an organizational-scope, senior individual contributor position, responsible for taking metrics from schema design through to the numbers sales leaders use every week.
What you’ll do
- Design and build dashboards and reporting views that the sales organization relies on, including pipeline, coverage, win rate, forecast attainment, and partner performance, with an emphasis on coherence and long-term maintainability.
- Set clear guidance on what becomes a governed data asset, what remains ad hoc, and what should be retired over time.
- Build the layer between certified base tables and end users by creating reusable views, defining grains, establishing conformed dimensions, and implementing metric logic consistently to prevent conflicting answers across dashboards.
- Partner with Data Operations to work through the underlying model, including account, opportunity, contact, activity, contact role, campaign membership, account team, and lead.
- Contribute to and defend canonical KPI definitions, including base query logic, grain, exclusions, and edge cases, and be able to explain contested calculations down to the “how” and “why.”
- Perform analytics for coverage models, buying-group completeness, funnel diagnostics, and territory and channel performance for both direct and partner-led motions.
- Establish patterns for others to follow, review analysts’ models, mentor teammates, and document standards.
- Own the end-to-end span from schema design through to the specific sales metrics consumed on a Monday morning.
Requirements
- 4+ years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data analysis, including experience as a senior technical voice on ambiguous, cross-team problems.
- Expert SQL, with the ability to build complex queries and structures that handle high-volume datasets and cross–line of business schemas.
- Strong analytical data modeling skills, including dimensional design, grain discipline, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, and judgment around when to denormalize.
- Hands-on experience with a modern BI platform such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or an equivalent tool, including semantic layer design, extract and performance tuning, and governance of published assets.
- Direct experience with CRM data, with Salesforce strongly preferred, including knowledge of standard objects and the failure modes that can occur when joins are done without care.
- Experience building operationally relied-upon reporting, including freshness expectations, breakage handling, change communication, and deprecation.
- Ability to work with sales leaders to translate unclear questions into defensible metrics, with the capability to push back when a requested metric cannot answer the underlying question.

Preferred
- Experience supporting sales, revenue, or partner/channel operations.
- Experience with partner or channel-led models, including reporting partner relationships as first-class entities rather than treating them as an afterthought in a direct-sales schema.
- Cloud warehouse or datalake depth (Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent), plus transformation frameworks, orchestration, and version-controlled analytics code.
- Python (or equivalent) for analysis beyond what SQL covers well.
- Experience maintaining continuous reporting through a major system migration while underlying sources change.
- Familiarity with conversation-intelligence and sales-engagement data, including data-quality realities of seller-created records.
