Sr. Data Engineer, Amazon Fuse
Job Description
Senior Data Engineer on Amazon Fuse's Data Analytics team, focused on building scalable data pipelines and embedding AI into data workflows to influence Fuse's decisions with data-driven insights. This onsite role is based in Seattle, WA, with a salary range of USD 154,600 to 209,100 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data platforms and end-to-end data pipelines, integrating AI tooling to accelerate development and enhance code quality.
- Ingest data from diverse sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data technologies to support analytics needs.
- Develop ETL processes and BI solutions, identifying opportunities to weave AI into data workflows such as data validation and transformation logic.
- Collaborate with product owners, software development engineers, and BI engineers to explore new data sources and deliver actionable insights.
- Stay current with advances in big data and AI technologies and contribute to pilot projects.
- Proactively identify and resolve data issues to reduce operational load, applying AI-assisted automation where appropriate.
Requirements
- More than seven years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
- Experience mentoring team members on engineering best practices.
