Sr. Portfolio Data Analyst
Job Description
Senior Portfolio Data Analyst at PlayStation Global, onsite in San Mateo, CA, focused on scalable data solutions and real-time portfolio insights to support data-driven investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and sustain scalable data pipelines that fuse program, financial, and operational data into a single portfolio data model.
- Create executive-grade dashboards and analytics, including KPIs, trends, and forecasts, to gauge portfolio health, performance, ROI, and realized value.
- Oversee portfolio reporting cycles (operational and quarterly) covering budget vs actuals, forecasts, capacity planning, and delivery metrics.
- Conduct advanced financial and scenario modeling to assess trade-offs, risks, and investment outcomes across the portfolio.
- Maintain data integrity through validation and governance, applying standardized definitions and documenting data lineage and business rules.
- Automate reporting and analytics workflows to boost efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with Finance, Program Delivery, and Strategy teams to align portfolio metrics with ROI frameworks and business outcomes.
- Provide executives with clear, actionable insights and portfolio performance narratives to inform decisions.
- Mentor analysts and advocate for best practices in analytics, data modeling, and visualization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in portfolio management, finance, or strategy within technology-driven environments.
- Proven strength in financial modeling, ROI analysis, forecasting, and evaluating portfolio performance.
- Demonstrated ability to assess portfolio health, including capacity, risk, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Advanced technical skills in SQL and Python or R; experience building data pipelines and analytical models.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI, plus Excel for executive reporting.
- Experience with data governance, system integration, and large-scale data validation.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
