In this role, you will own end-to-end data science work, taking problems from raw source data through modeling and scalable pipelines, and translating outputs into an effective customer interface.

Role Focus

The position centers on strengthening accuracy, scalability, and predictive capabilities across Enigma’s data platform. You will apply data science to real-world entity resolution challenges, with an emphasis on high-quality, reproducible results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain rigorous standards for analysis and model development, ensuring results are high-quality and reproducible.
  • Build repeatable validation strategies by treating data as a reflection of the real world and validating against ground truth.
  • Develop methods to detect gaps in the data, identify their source, and close gaps in ways that improve the product.
  • Use a data-first, principles-based approach to problem solving, balancing simple and elegant solutions with state-of-the-art modeling when needed.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of industry experience in statistics, experiment design, and distributed machine learning, with a track record of delivering customer impact.
  • Experience serving as a tech lead and/or mentoring other data scientists.
  • Demonstrated ability to form strong, defensible opinions while remaining open-minded to alternative approaches.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A persistent, problem-solving mindset that continues until data work is correct, with fast learning and fast delivery.
  • A principled, metrics-driven approach to complex data problems.
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience.

Technologies

  • Databricks
