RideNow Powersports is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build BI solutions and data infrastructure on site in Allen, Texas. The role centers on delivering Power BI dashboards and supporting data preparation for AI initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to enable data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the full BI lifecycle from data ingestion through dashboard delivery.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used across departments.
- Create intuitive data visualizations that support operational and executive decision-making.
- Enhance existing dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting processes and improve data workflows.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining data models and curated datasets used in Power BI.
- Engineer the data models and pipelines that provide a reliable foundation for AI applications.
- Support data transformation and preparation using ETL tools including Alteryx and SQL-based workflows.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests across business teams.
- Assist in validating data and supporting user acceptance testing for reports.
- Collaborate with development teammates and cross-functional business teams to deliver reliable analytics solutions.
- Monitor data refresh processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve data reliability.
- Create and maintain clear technical and business documentation for new data pipelines, datasets, dashboards, and reporting processes.
- Document existing data workflows, SQL views, Alteryx processes, and Power BI reports to improve maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain documentation of data definitions, calculation logic, and KPI metrics used across reports.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
- Proven experience delivering financial reporting systems within a publicly traded company, including SOX compliance and IT General Controls (ITGC).
- Strong experience with Power BI (report development, DAX, and data modeling).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience building and working with semantic models.
- Experience configuring or working with Power BI Gateway.
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Experience with Alteryx or other ETL tools.
- Experience working with APIs and data integrations.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with operational and financial datasets.
- Familiarity with Python or automation tools.
