Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to deliver actionable insights and identify growth opportunities, communicating analyses to secure buy-in and inform decisions
- Integrate large data volumes from sources such as DB2, SQL Server, Web API and Teradata to create assets for ad-hoc analyses and larger studies
- Apply validation, aggregation, and reconciliation methods to build a rich, modeling-ready data framework
- Establish and maintain best practices for the team’s data science strategy while staying informed of cross-industry advances
- Prioritize and lead analytics projects
- Apply domain expertise and state-of-the-art techniques to construct predictive models that explain events, forecast behavior, or identify risk through scoring or clustering
- Interpret results efficiently and communicate findings and potential value to business partners to influence strategic decisions
- Lead the integration of solutions within existing processes using automation
- Understand both theory and practical application of current and emerging statistical methods and tools
- Coach, mentor, and develop peers and team members
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required; Master’s or PhD is preferred

Statistics & Statistical Modeling
Expertise in statistical inference and regression, with strong background in machine learning, feature selection, and feature extraction. Proven track record of leading multiple high-impact ML and analytics projects end-to-end.
Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading Skillsets Preferred
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries joining multiple tables or databases, demonstrated through independent data source research, troubleshooting, and collaboration with external data providers. Ability to design logical data models by combining data from internal and external sources.
Core Business Capabilities
Strong communication skills and domain experience in financial services, with a history of leading engagements and collaborating with executive leadership. Solid project management abilities, including independent prioritization and guidance to junior team members.
