The Lead Data Engineer will decommission legacy SQL based infrastructure and rebuild data pipelines on modern cloud platforms, including Snowflake, AWS, and dbt, to support Safelite’s SV2 transformation.
Responsibilities
- Assess SSIS packages and document the underlying business logic
- Rebuild and modernize data pipelines using dbt, Snowflake, and AWS
- Migrate data from legacy SQL clusters to scalable cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define, test, and deploy clean, optimized pipelines
- Contribute to architectural decisions aligned with Safelite’s SV2 transformation strategy
Requirements
- Extensive experience with SSIS and a solid understanding of package structures
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Proven track record in cloud data engineering, including migrating and transforming large-scale data in the cloud
- Proficiency in dbt, including dbt seeds and modular pipeline builds

Compensation
Salary: USD 145,000 - 150,000 per year
