AI Engineer
Job Description
The AI Engineer at Flexday is a remote role focused on designing, building, and deploying production-grade Agentic AI solutions for large enterprise clients across multi-cloud and multi-LLM environments. The position emphasizes stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration within fast-moving, enterprise settings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, product owners, and business leads to elicit requirements, shape solutions, and provide clear, credible status updates
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale Agentic AI solutions that operate in production
- Translate functional and business requirements into technical designs in partnership with product and business teams
- Develop, test, and deploy AI components on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Take end-to-end ownership of features from development through production readiness
- Work with remote, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to align on progress and milestones
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders
- Experience facilitating working sessions, leading solution walkthroughs, and managing sponsor expectations
- Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Solid knowledge of AI agents, agentic workflows, and patterns such as tool use, planning, memory, and multi-agent orchestration
- Hands-on experience building agents using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Semantic Kernel, or equivalents
- Ability to evaluate, debug, and productionize agent behavior in enterprise settings
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and multi-agent orchestration patterns is strongly preferred
- LLM and Generative AI expertise including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, fine-tuning, and LLM integration
- Machine Learning experience covering classical ML, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Computer Vision experience with CNNs, detection, segmentation, vision transformers, or OCR
- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in Python
- Proven contributions to large-scale programs deployed in enterprise environments
- Understanding of full-stack development, REST APIs, and microservices
- Discipline in code quality, testing, and documentation
- Hands-on experience deploying on AWS or Azure, with GCP as a plus
- Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines
- Familiarity with Docker and Git
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
