AI Engineer

Valley National Bank seeks an AI Engineer for an onsite role in Morristown, NJ, with a salary range of USD 98,400 to 171,900 per year.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing business workflows to identify automation opportunities and AI driven improvements.
• Architect, build, and maintain automation solutions using RPA tools such as UiPath alongside AI services.
• Create and support intelligent workflows that orchestrate AI agents, decision logic, and cross-system coordination.
• Develop and sustain Intelligent Document Processing solutions using OCR, document classification, data extraction, and validation.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable automation and AI implementations.
• Produce and update technical documentation, solution designs, process maps, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct testing, monitoring, and optimization of deployed automation and AI solutions for reliability and performance.
• Collect and analyze process and model performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide ongoing operational support and enhancements for existing automation and AI solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in automation, AI, or related fields.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Solid understanding of business process analysis and modeling.
• Familiarity with established frameworks for business process analysis and change management.
• Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation concepts and tools, including UiPath.
• Understanding of AI tools and current industry trends.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional application features.
• Working knowledge of macros, programming, and SQL.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience delivering services to internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Strong problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, and assertiveness.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; general scripting skills are a plus.
