Job Description

State Street seeks an Alpha Account Services Data Analyst, Officer to support client onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and configuration across the Alpha Platform. This onsite role focuses on collecting and validating client account reference data, configuring systems, and applying data controls. The position is based in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, review, and organize client account data required for new account launches, lifecycle events, and static data upkeep.
  • Assist with validation, enrichment, and control activities to surface gaps and inconsistencies, coordinating follow-up on the Account Matrix and Conversion Data.
  • Support system configuration across Account Services workflow tools and downstream Alpha applications using approved client data.
  • Collaborate with clients, implementation leads, data leads, product, technology, and downstream operations teams to resolve data issues and prepare for testing, conversion, and production use.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data needed to support client conversions.
  • Review client-provided data for completeness, consistency, and alignment with Account Services data requirements, templates, and operating models.
  • Maintain artifacts such as data dictionaries, configuration trackers, validation logs, and related implementation documentation.
  • Assist with configuring account attributes, dropdown values, lookups, business rules, checklists, and other client-specific settings within the tools used for Account Services.
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation to confirm accurate data representation across Account Services and downstream Alpha systems.
  • Investigate data exceptions, configuration issues, and validation failures; document root causes, proposed resolutions, ownership, and status through closure.
  • Partner with implementation leads, project managers, product owners, technology teams, and downstream service teams to clarify data requirements and resolve configuration dependencies.
  • Support testing cycles by preparing test data, reviewing expected results, validating configuration outcomes, and logging defects or remediation needs.
  • Apply data controls to ensure accurate, complete, and timely account setup, maintenance, and conversion activities.
  • Document field-level definitions, population rules, required values, impacted workstreams, and downstream usage to support consistent data interpretation.
  • Monitor configuration readiness, data quality issues, and open action items; escalate blockers that could affect testing, conversion, or production timelines.
  • Assist with post go-live remediation and change activity by analyzing data impacts, validating updates, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to reusable standards, templates, control checks, and best practices to improve the consistency and scalability of Account Services implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, investment operations, client implementation, account services, or financial services technology

Salary Range

$70,000 to $118,750 annually

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, investment operations, client implementation, account services, or financial services technology
  • Experience with account onboarding, system configuration, data controls, or implementation testing is preferred
