Analytics Engineer

Paramount is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support global direct-to-consumer (DTC) forecasting within the Data & Insight Group. This onsite role in Burbank focuses on owning subscriber forecasts, building forecasting data pipelines, and communicating forecast variance and decision impacts to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and the DTC business.
• Collaborate with data science to understand forecasting models and with data engineering to understand the underlying data used for models and forecasts.
• Create global DTC subscriber forecasts for both regular business processes and strategic requests as they arise.
• Build data pipelines upstream and downstream of forecasting models, including forecast reporting pipelines.
• Diagnose variance between forecasts and actual results, and communicate findings clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
• Partner with dashboard engineers to build and improve the forecast dashboarding environment for stakeholders and practitioners.
• Estimate the effects of important business decisions using subscriber forecasting.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or analytics.
• Ability to break complex problems into simple, coherent solutions.
• Extensive experience writing robust Python and SQL as part of a team.
• Robust attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively with nontechnical stakeholders.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Compensation and Work Location

This position is onsite in Burbank, CA, US. The salary range is USD 85,600 - 128,400 per year. The #LI-JJ1 designation applies.
