Job Description

Join Capgemini in Houston, TX (onsite) as an Associate Data Engineer and build data integration solutions that keep enterprise data moving reliably, securely, and at scale. This role offers a clear path to strengthen your ETL/ELT and cloud data platform skills, working closely with senior team members on real delivery in Agile environments.

What you’ll get

Compensation: $81,000 to $85,000 base per year for the posted location. Actual offer may vary based on legally permitted factors. Additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions may apply depending on the position and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT jobs, workflows, and data pipelines
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems
  • Create and execute unit tests, integration tests, and data validation scripts
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and help resolve related issues
  • Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot data processing problems
  • Conduct data cleansing, profiling, and validation activities
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting and analytics enablement
  • Assist with data quality controls and governance standards
  • Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
  • Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and senior data engineers within Agile delivery teams

Requirements

  • 2+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration
  • SQL development, including query optimization and stored procedures
  • Ability to design, develop, and monitor data pipelines
  • Experience with data validation, data profiling, and data cleansing
  • Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
  • Skills in troubleshooting and resolving data processing issues
  • Exposure to data quality management and governance practices
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and modern data architectures
  • Understanding of analytics and reporting environments
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
