Audit Data Analyst - Staff Auditor II (Entry Level)
Job Description
This entry level position, Audit Data Analyst β Staff Auditor II, is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work arrangement and focuses on executing audit data analytics within internal audits while developing data analysis solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform data analytics approaches to support internal audits.
- Apply data-driven analytic techniques to detect anomalies, outliers, emerging trends, and operational risks within assigned audits.
- Utilize analytical methods to draw conclusions and provide insights that inform audit and business objectives.
- Translate recommendations into clear communication materials suitable for peer review and for senior or lead analysts.
- Present analyses and findings to mid level management and secure support for recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Assist the team in navigating diverse environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for testing.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, validation, and testing to facilitate peer reviews and compliance requirements.
- Develop knowledge in designing data visualizations with advanced tools to meet analytic and reporting needs.
- Contribute to recurring and automated reporting and solutions using analytics tools such as SQL or SAS to support risk identification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or a related quantitative field; or four years of equivalent education and/or experience.
- 1 to 2 years of data analytics experience, including use of visualization tools.
- Experience applying data analytics in an audit, risk, or controls environment.
- Proficiency in SQL or SAS data programming.
- Ability to understand and identify issues from a data perspective.
- Experience effectively communicating data insights to peers and business partners.
- Experience developing business reporting or dashboards.
- Experience producing operational reporting.
- Background in data processing, database programming, and/or data analytics.
- Ability to create data solutions that are efficient, effective, and essential.
- U.S. military experience gained through service or through a military spouse or domestic partner.

Compensation
Salary range: USD 69,920 to 133,000 per year.
