Business Data Analyst

Chery Industrial Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Data Analyst to turn diverse operating data into strategic insight that informs management decisions. This onsite role in Garden City, NY will consolidate data from across sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, e-commerce, auctions, finance, and other business functions to support cross-functional decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, validate, and unify data from multiple systems and departments.
• Assess company-wide performance across sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, auctions, e-commerce, and finance.
• Design and maintain KPI dashboards, recurring management reports, and ad hoc analyses.
• Identify trends, anomalies, operational gaps, cost-saving opportunities, and profit-improvement options.
• Collaborate with department leaders to define metrics, verify data quality, and standardize reporting.
• Develop forecasting, performance tracking, and decision-support models.
• Explore and apply AI tools to enhance data processing, reporting automation, forecasting, and business insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, operations analysis, or a related role.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business data and communicate findings clearly to management and non-technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail, data quality, problem-solving abilities, and independent project management skills.
