Job Description

SASSI is seeking a seasoned Cyber Data Analyst to support the Department of War CIO UAM program from its Alexandria, VA presence, combining advanced cyber data analytics with strategic reporting and enterprise coordination. The role emphasizes cyber reform, Zero Trust implementation, and rigorous user activity monitoring to guide security strategy across the organization.

Position overview

The Cyber Data Analyst will support senior cybersecurity leadership by delivering sophisticated data analysis, enterprise-wide reporting, and cross-organizational coordination. The focus areas include cyber reform, Zero Trust adoption, and user activity monitoring within the DoW CIO UAM program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytic support for the DoW CIO User Activity Monitoring program through cyber data analysis and strategic reporting efforts.
  • Examine cyber data, metrics, and operational trends to yield actionable recommendations and organization-wide insights.
  • Create executive reports, dashboards, presentations, and strategy documents related to cybersecurity operations and reform goals.
  • Assist with advancement and integration work for Advana or similar enterprise reporting and measurement platforms.
  • Apply analytical techniques to raw cybersecurity and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with cross-organizational stakeholders to reflect senior leadership intent and priorities.
  • Support cybersecurity reform initiatives by measuring goals, priorities, and effectiveness metrics.
  • Provide expertise in Zero Trust, cloud security, cyber strategy, and user activity monitoring principles.
  • Assist in implementing and overseeing automated software inventory tools, records management tools, and data analytics models.
  • Communicate findings effectively to executives, senior leaders, and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Support task management activities using CATMS or similar enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Experience supporting the Department of War and its components.
  • A minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity or IT matters with a bachelor’s degree; or 14+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with cyber data analytics, metrics analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and threat/user activity monitoring concepts.
  • Ability to think critically and apply analytical methodologies to complex data sets.
  • Ability to translate technical cybersecurity information into enterprise-level reporting and strategy documentation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills with experience briefing executives and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to conduct research, coordination, and strategic analysis in support of senior leader objectives.

Pay

Annual pay range: USD 85,062.88 - 102,441.30 per year.
