Job Description

Based in Arlington, VA, this onsite role centers on applying machine learning to cyber defense and threat hunting, delivering production-ready models to detect advanced threats for DoD, federal, and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Advance cyber defense and threat hunting through machine learning to enable near real-time detection and response for government and commercial clients.
  • Incorporate open-source tools, innovative approaches, and cloud resources to reduce false positives and accelerate detection.
  • Implement continuous integration and delivery to minimize manual testing and troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities for applying machine learning to unique cyber defense use cases.
  • Build, train, and package production-ready models to detect advanced persistent threats, following software development best practices.
  • Stay current with the latest research in machine learning and cybersecurity, demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a track record of novel解决方案 for difficult problems.
  • Engage with cutting-edge operational technologies in cybersecurity settings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cyber threat hunting and analysis of compromises within security logs, including endpoint and network data.
  • At least 2 years of experience exploring datasets, training ML models for inference, and leveraging results to advance cyber investigations.
  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework, MISP threat sharing, or cyber intelligence platforms including seQure.
  • Experience packaging and deploying production-grade models using Python, Bash, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL, or data streaming technologies, including Kafka.
  • Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk or ElasticSearch.
  • Proven ability to develop novel solutions for challenging problems.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Master's degree preferred; Doctorate degree a plus.

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, along with contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected annualized range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00. The displayed estimate represents the typical salary range for this role and forms one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation.
