Job Description
KGS Technology Group Inc is hiring a Data Analyst to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. This hybrid role in Alpharetta, GA 30009 supports strategic initiatives across departments by building dashboards and reports, designing ETL data pipelines, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions throughout the SDLC using Agile practices.
You will help teams make better decisions by connecting data from multiple sources, analyzing large datasets, and improving how metrics are visualized and delivered through modern business intelligence tools. The position also includes Green card sponsorship and Visa sponsorship, with an annual pay range of $75,003.69 - $90,327.02.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and reporting/dashboarding tools to visualize key metrics.
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for accurate integration across multiple sources, including SQL databases, Oracle, Talend, and other data warehouse environments.
- Analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and Excel data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements through analysis and requirements sessions, then translate findings into technical specifications for dashboards and reports.
- Support the full SDLC by contributing to planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions within Agile frameworks.
- Perform database design and query management to optimize data retrieval efficiency across SQL Server, Oracle, and linked data sources.
- Document processes using Visio or similar tools and contribute to technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing SQL databases, with experience in query optimization preferred.
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence platforms including Tableau, Power BI, Looker; experience developing dashboards from scratch is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend or similar; familiarity with Bash (Unix shell scripting) is a plus.
- Technical proficiency in R and Python for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Understanding of database design principles and experience working with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of SDLC analysis, Agile methodologies, and project management practices related to analytics projects.
- Ability to visualize complex insights through dashboards and reports using reporting tools such as VBA or Excel data analysis features.
- Familiarity with linked data concepts and business analysis techniques that support strategic decision-making.
- Experience with dashboard development, report automation, and query management to streamline reporting workflows.
