Data Analyst

This Game Data Analyst role supports the North America (NA) team within the Krafton Publishing Platform (PPD) division, partnering with NA studios and a Korea-based central team to deliver analytics across the full game lifecycle.

Role Overview

In this onsite position in El Segundo, CA, you will help power analytics by defining event taxonomies, building data pipelines and reporting, and validating SDK integration quality. You will also use AI-assisted workflows to improve analytics and tooling while maintaining rigor in instrumentation and KPI definitions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with NA studios to define instrumentation requirements, event schemas, and KPIs aligned with PPD’s centralized SDK and data standards
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics tools, including the use of AI-assisted BI and text-to-SQL where it reduces time without reducing accuracy
• Convert raw telemetry into clear analytical narratives for non-technical stakeholders, using LLMs to accelerate synthesis, commentary generation, and report drafting
• Act as the primary analytics liaison between NA studios and the Korea-based PPD central team, facilitating data alignment and review sessions across time zones
• Evaluate and validate SDK integration quality with studio engineers to ensure correct event logging, data completeness, and schema consistency
• Run deep-dive analyses on game health, feature performance, A/B test outcomes, and live ops events, and automate recurring analyses with AI pipelines where feasible
• Build lightweight AI-assisted internal tooling such as metric summary bots, automated anomaly commentary, LLM-generated data documentation, and similar utilities
• Contribute to PPD central analytics platform roadmap discussions by advocating for NA studio needs while ensuring alignment with global standards

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analytics, including 3+ years in the games industry
• Deep experience with event-based telemetry and game data pipelines
• Advanced SQL, plus proficiency in Python or R for analysis and automation
• Familiarity with live service game metrics including DAU, D1/D7/D30 retention, ARPU, LTV, and session depth
• Interest in applying AI tools to analytics workflows for code generation, insight synthesis, documentation, and automation
• Ability to write effective prompts and critically evaluate AI output, including knowing when to trust, iterate, or reject results
• Track record owning analytics end-to-end, from instrumentation specification through stakeholder reporting
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience collaborating across multiple studios or product teams at the same time

Preferred Qualifications

• Korean language proficiency at a business level (strongly preferred)
• Prior experience collaborating with Korean or other Asia-Pacific organizations
• Experience building AI-powered internal tools such as metric bots, LLM pipelines for automated reporting, and AI-assisted anomaly detection
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a shared data SDK or central instrumentation library
• Background in publishing analytics including UA, platform performance, and regional launch metrics
• Familiarity with data governance, schema registries, or data contracts

Compensation and Location

• Salary: USD 97,000 - 133,000 per year
• California expected salary range: $97,000-$133,000 (good faith estimate; actual pay may depend on experience, education, skills, and location)
