Data Analyst
Job Description
Bluesight is building tools to improve how hospital teams access and use data through its SaaS products. As a Data Analyst, you’ll help support implementation for hospital customers by collecting, synthesizing, and interpreting information from multiple internal and external healthcare systems. This role combines Excel-driven validation and analysis with additional SQL and Python work to extract data and build automation that supports ongoing reporting.

How you’ll help customers and the team
Your work will center on ensuring data integrity and making implementation progress visible and actionable for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Validate, reconcile, provide quality assurance, and analyze data input from disparate systems in Excel to ensure data integrity
- Communicate findings and act as a point person for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Partner with the implementation project lead and the customer to track progress, provide timely updates, and review data points with customers
- Perform data extraction tasks using multiple databases through SQL
- Develop solutions to support SFTP automation for ongoing reporting needs
- Acquire and retrieve data as necessary, and assist in troubleshooting data issues to ease end-user use of the application
- Handle other duties as assigned
Typical work breakdown
- 60% validating and analyzing data in Excel
- 30% customer-facing interactions
- 10% writing or updating SQL, Python, and other tasks
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of data analysis experience (healthcare industry experience is a plus)
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Excel, with enthusiasm for using it to solve complex problems and identify trends
- Moderate SQL experience for data extraction and transformation
- Ability to communicate promptly and effectively with customers and internal teams, including both non-technical and technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet goals and deadlines
- Self-starter mindset with a history of taking initiative and thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with effective collaboration and consistency meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications
- Experience on an Operations team, especially in an implementation-focused role
- Familiarity with installing or implementing SaaS products in a client environment
- Knowledge of hospital EHR systems (examples: Epic, Oracle (Cerner), MEDITECH)
- Knowledge of hospital ADC systems (examples: PyxisES, Omnicell)
- Experience coding with Python or Ruby or other scripting languages
- Experience working with PHI, with understanding of HIPAA
