Job Description

Aflac is hiring a Data Analyst for its Digital Services organization. This is a remote role within the continental US, designed for analysts who want to turn operational data into actionable insights for business leaders and executive presentations.

In this position, you will support business performance research, build and maintain analytical models and tools, and deliver in-depth analysis focused on client program performance, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness. You will also stay current with the latest reporting and analytics software to work efficiently across the reporting lifecycle.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct business performance research by gathering, interpreting, and comparing operational data for benchmarking and recommendations.
  • Develop and update mathematical modeling tools that define and track key performance metrics.
  • Define and implement appropriate measures and reports to assess organizational performance and initiative performance.
  • Perform deep data analysis to surface trends, patterns, and insights related to client program performance, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with peer teams to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of analytics tools that enable efficient and scalable insight discovery.
  • Support special projects as needed, including the development of executive-level presentations.
  • Use modern analytics software to build reports and run analysis efficiently, including Snowflake, Tableau, PowerBI, and other tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of analytics/reporting tools and workflows to support timely, accurate analysis.

What you bring

  • Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • Business acumen and the ability to analyze performance and forecast outcomes.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) to interact professionally with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing deliverables.
  • Knowledge of business operations and the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience or capability with Microsoft PowerPoint, business case preparation, and business cost/benefit analysis.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools and data trend analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience with business performance analysis and forecasting.
  • SQL, Python, and data visualization tools are a plus but not required.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 0 to 2+ years of job-related experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: experience with analytical project management and descriptive and diagnostic analytics; operations experience.

Remote work details

  • You will be expected to work from home within the continental US.
  • There may be occasional requests to come to the office based on business need.
  • Any in-office requests would be communicated in advance.

Compensation and tools

Salary: USD 52,000 - 80,000 per year.
