Job Description
Build and support data-driven analytics for the Credit Risk Review team in an onsite role in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, datasets, and analytical solutions
- Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting
- Analyze data to surface trends, exceptions, and actionable business insights
- Validate data quality and reconcile results across multiple data sources
- Design and implement automated reporting and data preparation processes
- Develop and enhance data pipelines and workflow automation
- Create scalable, reusable analytical solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
- Support modernization initiatives using Python, Snowflake, and cloud-based analytics technologies
- Design and develop AI agents and agentic solutions to automate workflows
- Gather, clarify, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into technical and analytical solutions
- Partner with business users through solution design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support
- Provide basic to intermediate training on data and productivity tools to support team efficiency
- Participate in software implementation and enhancement projects
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and data management processes
- Use RBC’s internal AI tools to improve productivity, code development, documentation, and analysis, with appropriate validation and governance
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay current on emerging analytics technologies and best practices
- Maintain current knowledge of related regulatory and bank policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Bank Administrative, Operational and Credit policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements for Credit Risk Review
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or Statistics (or related field)
- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, business systems analysis, or financial/risk analytics
- SQL, Tableau, and Advanced Excel
- Commercial banking or financial services experience
- Experience working with business stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions
- Credit Risk, lending, portfolio management, or regulatory reporting experience
- Software implementation or business process improvement initiative experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Tableau Desktop (or similar business intelligence platform)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Python and Snowflake (or other scripting languages) preferred
Compensation
- Starting base salary: $60,500 - $104,500 per year
- Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
- Eligible for bonus and/or commissions
