Job Description

Deloitte's Data Analyst - Project Delivery Senior Analyst - AI & Engineering role is based onsite in Arlington, VA, focusing on partnering with product owners and stakeholders to define analytics needs and deliver data-driven insights across client projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to capture analytics requirements, including problem statements, scope, assumptions, and success metrics or KPIs.
  • Turn requirements into Agile/SAFe ready work items such as epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint backlog items; support sprint planning, reviews, retros, and cross‑team coordination.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and quick-turn reporting to provide directional insights, and, when appropriate, build lightweight Tableau or Power BI dashboards; collaborate with BI/reporting developers to scale high‑usage reporting.
  • Support recurring analyses and reports (monthly, biweekly, weekly as applicable): define requirements, validate outputs with stakeholders, and maintain runbooks.
  • Coordinate and support UAT and release/change activities, including dependency tracking, risk/issue management, and stakeholder communications aligned to client governance.
  • Maintain regular communications with Engagement Managers (Directors), project teams, and representatives from various functional/technical groups, escalating issues when needed for engagement oversight.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of analytics experience with strong data skills, capable of framing ambiguous questions; proficient in SQL for querying and validating datasets; advanced Excel proficiency.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with BI tools, including building or enhancing dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI; solid understanding of metrics/KPI definitions and dashboard usability.
  • 4+ years of structured storytelling experience in PowerPoint or similar presentation tools.
  • 4+ years of familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel about 10% on average depending on client engagement.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and translate tasks into actionable work products
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to deliver technical demonstrations
