Data Analyst Senior or Lead

Progressive is hiring a Senior or Lead Data Analyst to support the Commercial Lines Product Development Telematics team on a remote basis. In this role, you will turn telematics data into clear dashboards and reporting, while partnering across teams to deliver insights for strategic initiatives, including expansion into Fleet & Specialty Programs (FSP).

As a central contributor to the team’s analytics, you will also help guide how dashcam-related efforts and broader telematics usage inform underwriting decisions and other emerging opportunities.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to support ongoing product and strategy work.
• Research topics related to the commercial telematics market.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that support key strategic initiatives, including expansion into Fleet & Specialty Programs (FSP).
• Support growth of the dashcam program, broader use of telematics data in underwriting, and other emerging opportunities.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 6 years of analytical work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher plus at least 5 years of analytical work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field plus at least 3 years of analytical work experience.
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proven aptitude for communicating insights and visualizations using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical partners.
• Proactive attitude with a strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies.

Compensation

USD 81,400 - 131,200 per year, depending on position level and experience.
