Data Engineer
Job Description
Location: Piscataway, NJ (hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust Airflow pipelines that pull data from digital touchpoints into Snowflake.
- Create modular, tested, and well-documented dbt models that transform raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from source to exposure.
- Provision and manage cloud data infrastructure, including Snowflake objects, Airflow environments, and supporting GCP resources, using Terraform with version control and peer reviews.
- Enforce data quality, observability, and testing standards across the data pipelines.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and manage warehouse costs through clustering, query profiling, and resource monitors, treating cost as a core engineering concern.
- Align pipelines with platform standards, including branching strategies, CI/CD for dbt and Airflow, code reviews, documentation, and naming conventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in data or analytics engineering, preferably in a digital or e-commerce setting.

Compensation
Salary range is USD 96,800 to 137,000 per year. Pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and location, with eligible discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for executive-level roles.
