Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Fayetteville, NC (onsite) to design and scale data platforms, migrate data to cloud environments, implement CI/CD, and guide data solutions within a complex enterprise setting.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
- Write secure, efficient Python for data processing, automation, and warehousing tasks.
- Migrate and integrate data from on prem systems into cloud environments.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Create SQL scripts and stored procedures for data processing and transformation.
- Apply data modeling best practices to support scalable schemas.
- Support data governance, metadata tagging, and access control mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Provide technical guidance within a complex enterprise environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a data engineer supporting large-scale enterprise systems.
- Proven ability to write clean, secure, and efficient Python for data engineering use cases.
- Experience moving data from on prem environments to the cloud and automating development workflows, including building, deploying, or managing applications.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices.
- Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures and data modeling.
- Experience supporting data governance and data tagging initiatives.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, IAM, EventBridge, Step Functions, or Lambda.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
