Job Description

Farm Credit Services of America is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver enterprise data solutions that support operational processes, analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities. This onsite role in Omaha, NE focuses on translating business needs into trusted, scalable data products that help teams across the organization get dependable data into the hands of decision-makers and builders.

What you will build and support

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data products using modern cloud data platform technologies.
  • Develop and optimize database structures, data models, semantic models, and transformations, including reusable data assets for operational, analytical, and AI workloads.
  • Integrate data across applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party solutions using modern integration patterns.
  • Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, security, and scalability through testing, monitoring, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Create and maintain curated datasets, business metrics, and consumption-ready data products for reporting, dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Develop and support reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical solutions when appropriate, while partnering with Business Insights & Analytics to support enterprise reporting and decision support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data, integration, reporting, and performance, while continuously improving engineering practices and delivery processes.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, automation, and continuous improvement across the enterprise data ecosystem.

How you’ll work with others

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and software engineering teams to translate requirements into data solutions, ensuring the resulting products remain reliable and scalable as demand grows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS (preferred).
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, analytics, reporting, or data integration disciplines.

Compensation and incentives

  • Salary range: USD 114,380 - 177,300 per year.
  • Incentive opportunity: 10% - 20%.
