Job Description

Data Engineer, Product Analytics at Meta focuses on building data artifacts and visualizations to support product analytics across Meta's apps. The role collaborates with engineering, data science, and product management to design scalable data solutions with emphasis on privacy and data quality.

Menlo Park, CA (onsite)

Salary

USD 114,000 - 173,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build and maintain data warehouse initiatives for a product suite to address clearly defined problems.
  • Determine data needs for business challenges and implement comprehensive logging to ensure data availability, coordinating with the data infrastructure team to triage and resolve issues.
  • Partner with engineers, product managers and data scientists to translate data needs into meaningful insights and visualizations.
  • Develop data stewardship and apply controls to uphold privacy, security, compliance, data quality and operational integrity for assigned domains.
  • Design, develop and deploy new data models and dashboards in production using standard development toolkits.
  • Create end to end ETL pipelines in production independently, and mentor others on efficient querying.
  • Maintain existing production processes and implement optimized solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Define and govern data set service level agreements within assigned data domains.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling, plus proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, C#, Scala, or other languages.
