Job Description

Lockheed Martin is hiring a Data Engineer to deliver end-to-end, full-stack data capabilities across the data processing pipeline. In this onsite role in Fort Worth, Texas, you will design and implement solutions that cover collection, ingestion, processing, storage, persistence, access, and delivery of data at scale and speed.

Role overview

  • Deliver full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline.
  • Design and implement data lifecycle capabilities that collect, ingest, process, store, persist, access, and deliver data at scale.
  • Build ETL/data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources ready for analysis.
  • Define functional capabilities and design security, backup, and recovery specifications as part of data solution delivery.
  • Work through the stages of a data solution, including data analysis and profiling, plus conceptual, logical, and physical data model design and ETL/reporting/analytics architecture.
  • Maintain data system performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems, tuning parameters, and evaluating and installing new releases.
  • Define standards, best practices, and certification processes for data objects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years supporting AI and machine-learning systems, plus experience with business intelligence and data warehousing concepts such as ETL, data modeling, and reporting.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data or system architecture.
  • Interim or Active U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain special program access.
  • Strong proficiency with Eqube, neo4j, and SAP Hana.
  • Hands-on experience building ETL or ELT pipelines at scale.
  • Experience with Agile methods.

Desired skills

  • Experience designing and building ontologies, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs.
  • Experience with OrientDB, graphDB, or similar open source software packages.
  • Experience with TeamCenter PLM, Solumina IbaseT, ERP4C, or similar PLM/MES/ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong team relationships and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Master’s degree in a related technical field.

Compensation and location

Location: Fort Worth, TX (onsite). Salary range: USD 104,900 to 194,700 per year.
