Job Description
At Lockheed Martin in Stratford, CT, this Data Engineer Stf role focuses on delivering full-stack data solutions that move from collection and ingestion through processing, storage, and delivery. You will build and maintain production data pipelines that support scale and speed, while helping define standards for data objects across the lifecycle.
The position spans analysis and data modeling through ETL, reporting, and ongoing performance tuning, with an emphasis on security, backup, and recovery specifications. If you enjoy end-to-end ownership of data systems, this is a strong fit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline, covering collection, ingestion, processing, storage, persistence, access, and delivery at scale.
- Design and implement solutions that support the full data lifecycle, including pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate unorganized data into databases or analysis-ready data sources.
- Define functional capabilities along with security, backup, and recovery specifications for data solutions.
- Work through data solution lifecycle stages such as data analysis and profiling, conceptual, logical, and physical data model design, and architecture and design of ETL, reporting, and analytics.
- Maintain production performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems, calculating optimum parameter values, and evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases.
- Define standards, best practices, and certification processes for data objects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field (equivalent experience may be accepted in place of the degree).
- 3+ years building and maintaining data pipelines and processes in production.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau or SSRS.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and schema design.

Compensation and Work Location
- Location: Stratford, CT (onsite)
- Salary: USD 118,000 - 219,100 per year
