Job Description
Crooter is hiring a Data Scientist for a role in New York, NY with an onsite schedule. The work partners with Minerva to bring together data engineering and applied modeling, with the goal of building and deploying estimation and predictive models for consumer data at scale.
This position emphasizes end-to-end execution, from assembling unified consumer datasets to production-ready feature pipelines and model outputs that can be used autonomously by Minerva’s AI agents.
What you’ll do
- Unify consumer data: stitch disparate data sources into 360 consumer profiles, applying data engineering with data science-style thinking.
- Build and deploy estimation models: create and deploy models such as income, wealth, and affinities, and generate probabilistic attributes from consumer data.
- Own production feature pipelines: develop feature engineering pipelines designed to run reliably at terabyte scale in production.
- Deliver custom enterprise DS work: build solutions end-to-end for clients including Capital One, moving from raw data to deployed models.
- Support agent consumption: ensure model outputs are robust enough to be consumed autonomously by Minerva’s AI agents.
What you bring
- Experience: 2 to 10 years of applied data science.
- Production modeling: experience building and deploying models into production environments.
- Predictive use cases: experience with predictive modeling such as propensity, LTV, lookalike, and estimation.
- Proven DS/ML background: background from a VC-backed startup, top tech company, or hedge fund.
- Core tooling: highly proficient in Python and SQL.
- Data engineering fundamentals: pipelines, cleaning, and data modeling.
- Workflow orchestration: experience with Dagster, dbt, or Airflow.
- Education: technical degree from a top-30 program; MS or PhD in a quantitative field preferred.
- Location: on-site 5 days in NYC.
