Job Description

Capgemini is hiring a Data Scientist for an onsite contract role in Philadelphia, PA. In this position within Group Digital, you will help build algorithmic decision-making systems that improve personalization and automation at scale, with hands-on work spanning machine learning, neural networks, MLOps, and modern GenAI approaches.

You’ll join a data-centric culture, including opportunities to educate teams on the strategic importance of AI and analytics, while collaborating in an Agile/DevOps environment with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of algorithmic decision-making at scale within Group Digital
  • Craft and implement machine learning models and neural networks, along with supporting MLOps practices, to enhance personalization and automation
  • Develop and optimize predictive and prescriptive models to extract insights and improve decision-making
  • Apply deep learning techniques for customer classification, profiling, segmentation, and personalization
  • Implement MLOps to efficiently deploy, monitor, and maintain ML models in production
  • Implement and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions for automation and user engagement
  • Explore and integrate knowledge graphs to strengthen data relationships and improve recommendations
  • Build robust data pipelines for large-scale ETL processing using SQL and cloud-based solutions (GCP preferred)
  • Write complex SQL for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data efficiently
  • Implement CI/CD workflows to automate model training, deployment, and monitoring
  • Communicate complex methodologies, results, and business insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work in an Agile/DevOps environment to drive data-driven innovation with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of proven experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn
  • Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, and Airflow for deployment and monitoring
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and scalable data engineering
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics, and experimental design including A/B Testing
  • Experience with collaborative software engineering practices, including Agile and DevOps
  • Experience with knowledge graphs and integration into AI/ML pipelines, including Neo4j
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI technologies (including GPT, BERT, LLaMA, Claude)
  • Background in Retail and Personalization Web Technologies
  • Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) tools and data visualization
  • Experience with recommendation models, and information retrieval including semantic search, LLM search, and candidate ranking
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

Pay Range

$36.98/hour - $57.79/hour
