Data Scientist Mid

Data Scientist Mid supporting Defense and Intelligence Programs for U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) at Fort Bragg, NC, focusing on data-driven solutions, predictive modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to drive mission-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of designated programs and projects.
• Design data‑driven solutions for complex business challenges.
• Apply advanced analytics tools and computational methods to explore, connect, predict, and uncover insights in data.
• Assess new data sources and data-collection methods for quality and usefulness.
• Leverage predictive models to improve customer experiences, operational efficiencies, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities to leverage data for business solutions.
• Develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor model performance and data accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Mentor and review the work of junior professionals when needed.
• Work independently under general supervision.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and Bash, with experience in API development and data manipulation.
• Experience with SQL and large-scale systems such as PostgreSQL, Hive, or Trino.
• Working knowledge of machine learning concepts and familiarity with Flask or FastAPI.

Salary

Salary range: $109,403 to $148,017 per year. Actual compensation is determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
