Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead end-to-end analytics initiatives from our Springfield, Virginia location. This role centers on building advanced analytical models and compelling visuals that strengthen mission security, while briefing senior leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated analytic models, dashboards, and tools to deter, detect, and mitigate threats.
- Apply deep data science expertise to identify anomalies and deliver actionable intelligence.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, senior stakeholders, and program managers to shape complex business needs and strategic objectives.
- Leverage data-driven insights to advocate for meaningful process changes and improvements.
- Oversee and support business operations and the lifecycle of policy development.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for enterprise-wide policy development, review, coordination, promulgation, and compliance, including Self-Inspection Checklists and related documentation.
- Develop and maintain advanced risk-scoring models and other analytics tools.
- Drive the implementation and sustainment of data analysis platforms, monitoring system integrity by capturing metrics on errors, failures, and performance.
- Translate complex analyses into clear visuals, dashboards, and executive-level reports.
- Provide authoritative visual, technical, and editorial guidance and brief senior leadership on findings, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee the capture, maintenance, and accuracy of statistics related to timelines, domain transfers, and key performance indicators.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, integrating, developing, and maintaining analytic models, visualizations, and tools.
- 2+ years of experience with Geospatial Information Systems tools such as ArcView, ArcGIS, Remote View, ArcIMS, ERDAS Imagine, along with related software including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, HTML, and FrameMaker.
- Experience providing technical and editorial guidance.
- Experience supporting and maintaining risk-scoring models or predictive analytics systems.
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard development using data sets from multiple sources.
- Ability to lead process-improvement initiatives and contribute to the full lifecycle of policy development and business operations.
- Ability to transform complex data sets into compelling visuals, reports, and leadership briefings.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
- Master's degree in data science, statistics, or business, with 7+ years of related experience, or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Compensation
The projected annual salary range for this role is $77,600 to $176,000, USD, with actual pay determined by factors such as location, education, experience, and organizational needs.
Clearance
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.
