Financial Data Analyst III-Supply Chain FP&A
Job Description
Maxonic, Inc. is looking for a Financial Data Analyst III to support its Supply Chain FP&A function in Boise. This on-site contract role delivers financial guidance, analytics, and actionable insights to the Distribution organization, with duties that include building financial models, creating reports and dashboards, and serving as a finance partner to both corporate and field teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Vice President, Director, and Manager of Supply Chain Finance to design and deliver key performance reports that compare actual results to plans and forecasts
- Evaluate KPIs to identify trends, insights, and risks and opportunities
- Compile monthly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis and recommendations
- Promote a data driven approach to explaining variances between actual performance and forecasts
- Extract data from primary and secondary systems and create, maintain, and enhance complex data repositories
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and BI tools to evaluate complex scenarios and strategic initiatives
- Quantify financial and operational impacts to the P&L
- Serve as a finance business partner to the Distribution organization at corporate and field levels
- Provide analytical support for ad hoc requests, special projects, and value-added improvement initiatives
- Proactively seek opportunities to deliver analytical solutions that support business objectives
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on people efficiency, process effectiveness, automation, and tool usage
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, analysis, and data management processes
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines
- Follow through on identified issues and deliver timely, accurate financial insights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, financial modeling, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report on large financial data sets
- Proven problem solving skills using structured analytical frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills
- SQL / Snowflake or similar analytical data warehouses
- Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools
- Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization
- Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities
- Customer focused, well organized, and self motivated
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating across teams
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment
