Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Boston Consulting Group (BCG X) helps clients build and deploy innovative AI capabilities, and this role places you on the front line of that work. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you’ll partner with teams and clients to take analytics projects from problem framing through implementation and deployment, supported by a benefits package designed for employees and their families.

Compensation: USD 120,000 - 200,000 per year

Responsibilities

• BCG X teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end, including framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI.
• Help build the next generation of AI solutions.
• Partner with clients across BCG regions and industries, including key topics like climate change, to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
• Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers.
• Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
• Actively participate in every part of the software development life cycle.

Requirements

• Apply software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software.
• Be actively involved in every part of the software development life cycle.
• Experience guiding non-technical teams and consultants in best practices for robust software development.
• Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design.
• Be motivated by a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, including interacting directly with clients on new features for future product releases.
• Enjoy collaborating in teams to share software design and solution ideas.
• Be a natural problem-solver and intellectually curious across a breadth of industries and topics.
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of your home office.

Compensation details (first-year base)

• Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $120,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $155,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $171,000 USD
• Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $200,000 USD

Additional role notes: As a member of the Brooklyn office, you are expected to be in the office as directed.
