Job Description

As a Clinical Data Analyst for Baptist Health South Florida, you will support the Health System across acute care hospitals, outpatient services, and ambulatory surgical centers. In this remote role based in Florida, you’ll help maintain oversight of physician delinquency by tracking and trending reports, preparing data visuals for key meetings, and communicating non-compliance to leadership to support enforcement of the Suspension List.

What you’ll do

  • Provide primary support for the Health System across 8 Acute Care Hospitals, All Baptist Outpatient Services (over 50 locations), and ambulatory surgical centers.
  • Track and trend Physician Delinquency Reports.
  • Send timely notifications to Medical Staff regarding pending delinquent medical records and impending actions for non-compliance.
  • Complete follow-up as needed and report non-compliant physicians to key Hospital and Medical Staff Leadership to enforce the Suspension List.
  • Prepare reports and graphs for Medical Record Committee meetings and the Joint Commission.
  • Work as part of a team to meet individual and departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health information management, Health Services Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Preferred: Certified RHIT (Record Health Information Technician) and/or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator).
  • Experience in medical record functions in an acute care setting.
  • Experience with medical record review to support accurate and complete records according to CMS and TJC accreditation standards.
  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation.
  • Ability to problem solve, organize priorities, and meet objectives under time constraints with attention to fine details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to travel between hospitals to perform job duties.
  • Typing requirement: 25 wpm, and passing standard filing, Word, and Excel testing.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently to complete assignments within given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Compensation and experience

  • Estimated pay range: $16.28 - $20.68 per hour depending on experience
  • Minimum required experience: 3 years
