Junior Data Engineer

The Junior Data Engineer role at Mando Technologies supports the development, management, and optimization of data infrastructure used for analytics, operational reporting, and machine learning data preparation. This onsite position in Plano, TX focuses on building reliable data models, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing capabilities using cloud and big data tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and implementing data models and schemas to meet analytical and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as Talend, Informatica, or custom scripting with Python, Bash, or Shell Scripting.
• Collaborate with teams to connect and integrate linked data sources, ensuring consistent data flow across AWS, Azure Data Lake, and cloud database environments.
• Support the management of SQL databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other SQL-based systems to support efficient query performance.
• Contribute to data warehousing solutions using dimensional modeling techniques to improve query management.
• Help support machine learning workflows by preparing datasets and conducting analysis using Spark or the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Participate in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative improvements to data pipelines and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Python programming.
• ETL development experience.
• Snowflake knowledge.
• dbt knowledge is a plus.
