Based in Austin, TX and onsite, this opportunity from Amazon.com Services LLC offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 143,700 to 194,400. You’ll join the OIS-Core Engine team within Amazon Infrastructure Engineering’s AI and ML arm, developing ML software that enhances performance, durability, cost efficiency, and security across Amazon’s global infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Address complex technical challenges across the full stack, including novel problems at multiple layers.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative ML solutions that boost service performance, resilience, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Deliver high‑impact ML capabilities to a large customer base.
  • Build high‑quality, highly available, always‑on products.
  • Investigate implementations to optimize the customer experience.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive business solutions with your technical input.
  • Work in a startup‑like development environment, focusing on the most important work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience
  • 1+ years designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object‑Oriented design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
