Job Description

Senior AWS Software Data Engineer on Boeing's Digital Analytics and System Health (DASH) team in Hazelwood, MO, focusing on designing, implementing, and scaling AWS data services, governance, and warehousing to support large-scale digital analytics for Boeing Global Services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of cloud data solutions that meet industry standards, customer needs, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and translate customer requirements into initial designs for software data products
  • Coordinate development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software data products and system integrations
  • Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, and designs for software data products
  • Debug and drive timely resolution of issues to ensure reliability and performance of data products
  • Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development
  • Establish and monitor software data processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
  • Execute and document software data research and development projects
  • Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 8+ years of experience with Data Engineering and/or Software Development
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating big data platforms
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable computing infrastructure for data solutions, including cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • 3+ years of experience deploying and managing distributed systems on at least one cloud platform (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP))
  • 3+ years of experience with the configuration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data ingestion

Compensation

  • Summary pay range: $160,650 - $217,350
  • Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities
