Senior Data Analyst
Job Description
This Senior Data Analyst role uses advanced analytics to support consulting engagements focused on program and policy impact for utility and government clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead research design, data collection, data analysis, modeling tool development, and reporting for client consulting engagements
- Use statistical and econometric methods to synthesize and interpret results, assessing program and policy impacts and drawing actionable conclusions
- Communicate analytical methods, findings, data sources, and results through technical reports, presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with project team members and clients to deliver project goals
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across project activities, status, findings, challenges, and concerns
- Support or lead project budget management, invoicing, and project planning, including staff and resource management
- Ensure deliverables meet Cadmus quality standards, are error-free, on time, and exceed client expectations
- Support mentorship and technical guidance for junior staff
- Nurture client relationships through proactive, clear, and consistent communication
- Identify and develop business development opportunities, including support for proposal development to expand existing work and advance new work
Requirements
- MA/MS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or other related quantitative fields with 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, OR BA/BS in a relevant field with 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with data transformation and statistical software programming using R, Python, or Stata
- Demonstrated experience deploying interactive web apps and data visualizations using R-Shiny (or other platforms such as Flask, DASH, Power BI, or Streamlit)
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Demonstrated experience with inferential statistics, including sampling and research design, statistical analysis, and regression analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging work assignments
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Familiarity with or work experience in the energy sector and/or utility industry
- Applied research design experience in a professional setting (e.g., consulting)

Additional Information
- Location: United States (onsite)
- Salary range: USD 80,000 - 95,000 per year
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen
